MMORPG Watchlist

This is our MMORPG watchlist: the persistent online worlds we are following closely enough to write about. It is a living list. Worlds move up when signal strengthens and dim when momentum slows.

Use it as a tracker. Each entry links to a profile with the current read, sources and open questions.

How to read the watchlist

Every world carries a watch status. High signal means credible momentum and strong potential. Watching means promising but unresolved. Scouting means early or under-documented. Hidden gem means under-covered but unusually aligned with our idea of online worlds. Dimming means the signal is weakening.

Why we keep a watchlist

A watchlist is a commitment to revisit. Worlds change: tests ship, communities grow or scatter, studios stumble. Tracking them over time is how you tell a real place forming from a marketing beat.

Frequently asked questions

What does the MMORPG watchlist track?
It tracks upcoming and emerging MMORPGs that show potential to become persistent social places. Each world is assigned a watch status reflecting how closely we are following it. We do not include games where the world is only a backdrop for matchmaking.
How often does the watchlist change?
It changes when the evidence changes. When a tracked world shifts status or produces important new signal, we update its profile and, where useful, file a short report. The list is meant to be revisited, not read once.
