Sandbox MMO Watchlist
This is our sandbox MMO watchlist: persistent, player-driven worlds where crafting, settlement, economy and territory do the work that scripted content does elsewhere. It is a living list, updated as signal changes.

How to read the watchlist
Each world carries a watch status: high signal, watching, scouting, hidden gem or dimming. The status reflects how closely we are tracking the world and how strong its signal is right now, not a quality score.
Why sandbox worlds deserve their own watchlist
Sandbox worlds live or die on population and player commitment, more than on launch-day polish. They reward patient watching: a quiet world can become a civilisation, and a hyped one can empty out. A dedicated watchlist is how we follow that arc.
Frequently asked questions
- What is on the sandbox MMO watchlist?
- Persistent, player-driven worlds built around crafting, settlement, economy and emergent social systems. Each is assigned a watch status that reflects how closely we are following it. The list is curated, not exhaustive.
- What is the difference between a sandbox MMO and a theme-park MMO?
- A theme-park MMO moves players through designed content like a series of rides. A sandbox MMO gives players the tools to create their own goals and stories. Sandbox worlds are where player-driven economies and territory tend to emerge.
